The Museum of the Plains Indians explores and celebrates the histories and cultures of the Northern Plains Indian tribes including the Northern Plains tribes including the Shoshone, Blackfeet, Nez Perce, and the Crow. To this end, the museum presents changing exhibits throughout the year featuring arts and crafts made by contemporary artists as well as historical artifacts such as clothing and weapons. The museum was founded in 1941 and is operated by the Indian Arts and Crafts board.
