This Colonial Revival style home was constructed in 1904 for Dr. Herbey A. Tarbell and his young family. Tarbell moved his medical practice to Watertown in 1890. He served as county physician and coroner, and briefly shared a drug store with his brother Oliver Tarbell. The house served for many years as a medical office, and was the Tarbel home until the death of Anna, Tarbell's wife. Colonial elements include symmetry in the facade, a hip roof, sidelights and a decorative pediment supported by slender columns which accentuate the front entrance.
