Located at the Hillside Cemetery, the Civil War Soldiers’ Monument was dedicated in July of 1870 by the General John A. Logan Post No. 96, Grand Army of the Republic. It was inscribed with the 15 names of the Auburn men who had “lost their lives in service of the United States” during the war.
