This historic building is currently Shaws hardware. It looks very similar to what it used to be and is still in working and good condition. You are able to see from the inside that it is old and degrading but it is still able to be used without worrying about anything breaking down.


Window, Building, Tree, Facade

O.V. Libby's store later became S.J. Nowell's and finally Shaw's Hardware. The current address of this location is 901 Main Street. Bennett & Clark's Dry Goods is on the right side of the building. The second-floor houses Bennett & Clark's Ladies and Gentleman's Furnishings. The stairs on the left side of the building descended to Job Printing. An advertisement for "Neal of the Navy" (1915) at the Colonial Theater is affixed to a telephone pole. The building to the right is G.W. Huff (see Sanford image B164).. . . . . . . . . . . . .
