Narcisse J. Pelletier's Store on Bridge Street, Springvale, in the early 1890s. Pelletier (1857-1900) was born in St. Andrew de Kamouraska, Quebec, and moved to Brunswick in 1873. He lived in Brunswick, Westbrook, South Berwick, and Salmon Falls, New Hampshire, before moving to Springvale in 1882. After his death on January 13, 1900, Pelletier's wife, Gaudelie, continued the grocery at first with her son Samuel and her brother David Caron.

He started his own grocery store in Springvale in 1884. After his death, his wife, Gaudelie, continued the grocery at first with her son Samuel and her brother David Caron. He started his own grocery store in Springvale in 1884. He also worked at a box factory near the railroad station. By 1921 she transferred ownership of the store to her sons David, Joseph, and Charles, who purchased the property in 1922. In 2003, a small park stood where the N. J. Pelletier Store was located. At far left is the E. E. Wentworth home.
