The Rock & Blues Museum
Introduction
Text-to-speech Audio
This local history museum includes six rooms that are full of artifacts and exhibits that preserve and share the history of blues and rock music from their roots in local folk traditions, touring Black musicians, rockabilly troubadours, and future musical icons that got their start playing local joints throughout Mississippi. The museum includes exhibits on Mississippi musicians such as Muddy Waters and B.B. King, as well as Clarksdale native John Lee Hooker. The museum's gift shop serves as a vintage record store and its staff are happy to recommend places to enjoy live music.
