MacDonell House

Historic Sites, Monuments, Landmarks, and Public Art ()


This Victorian mansion was constructed in 1893 and is presently operated as a house museum by the Allen County Museum. The home was designed by architect Frank M. Leech for the use of Frank Banta, one of many business leaders who came to Lima during the region's oil boom that began in the mid-1880s.

Visitors to the Allen County Museum can also take a tour of the MacDonell House.
