Constructed in 1904, this was the home of former Sheriff and Assessor James Wilbur Grim. Prior to moving to town, he was schoolteacher and a Merchant at Bearsville and Wilbur, the latter community bearing his name. He was the first postmaster of the Wilbur Post Office. He also had built and was proprietor of the Borland Springs Hotel in Wood County, West Virginia.
