Introduction
Text-to-speech Audio
Founded by its namesake, James P. Harlin and former mayor of West Plains, the Harlin Museum celebrates the Ozarks through history and art. The museum features an art gallery displaying the works of regional artists and those of Lennis L. Broadfoot, a prominent local writer (he wrote a book called "Pioneers of the Ozarks") and artist. The history-focused exhibits feature Native American artifacts and other items, early farm tools, a complete wagon, a vintage hat collection, model ships, and paintings. There is also a recreated boys bedroom from the 1890s.
