The Museum of New Jersey Maritime History maintains exhibits about all aspects of the state's unique history of seafaring. There are replicas and historic photos of various boats, artifacts recovered from shipwrecks, antiques from coastal towns, displays about the US Life Saving Service, and the most extensive exhibits related to the Morro Castle shipwreck of 1934. There is even a display of pre-historic fossils from the inter-continental shelf located just off the New Jersey coast.
