Duncombe House

This building was built by Dr. Elijah Duncombe in 1848, brother of Dr. Charles Duncombe, who was a leader in the Rebellion of 1837. It later housed the Elgin County Pioneer Museum, founded in 1957 by the Elgin County Women's Institutes and the St. Thomas IODE. It is currently the Elgin Military Museum.
