Elgin Block
Introduction
Text-to-speech Audio
This block is no longer standing and was built in 1871. Its date stone is now located in front of the Elgin Military Museum (Duncombe House). The Elgin Block is notable for the large horseshoe sign located above the Horsman brothers' hardware store--a good example of trade signs that were present around the city.
