Designed by J. Frazer Smith of Canton, Mississippi, Castle Crest was built within the Woodland Park subdivision in 1930. Its inclusion on the National Register of Historic Places is hinged upon its Tudor Revival architectural style, including the Tudor arch in the entrance and the high-pitched roof and parapets.
