Constructed in 1930, Castle Crest is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as "the grandest and most significant residential expression" of Tudor Style architecture in Jackson, Mississippi. The home is located within the Woodland Park subdivision, and several other historic houses in this neighborhood are also included on the National Register for their architectural significance.

Designed by J. Frazer Smith of Canton, Mississippi, Castle Crest was built within the Woodland Park subdivision in 1930. Its inclusion on the National Register of Historic Places is hinged upon its Tudor Revival architectural style, including the Tudor arch in the entrance and the high-pitched roof and parapets.
