BLACKWELL, Mary E., b. Dec 25 1911 d. Aug 13 1991 (AC41-8), "Beloved Wife & Partner, Mother & Grandmother" Obituary from Florida Times-Union of August 15, 1991: Funeral services for Mrs. Mary E. Blackwell, 79, of 1716 North 8th Street, Jacksonville Beach, who died Tuesday, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Chapel of George H. Hewell and Son, Southside Funeral Home, 4140 University Blvd. South, with Rev. Cynthia Robbins officiating. Pallbearers will be Victor Papa, Charles Wilson, Macon R. Ballentine, Jesse Keene, Doug Bell and Fred Lonberg. Honorary pallbearers will be Morocco Temple Oriental Band, the Potentates Aides and the OBAZ Club. Interment will be in the H. Warren Smith Cemetery. Mrs. Blackwell was a native of Atlanta, Ga. Residing at Jacksonville Beach for a number of years. She was a member of the Palms Presbyterian Church, Order of Easter Star, Daughters of the Nile, past-president of the OBA Club, and the Southern Bell Pioneers. She is survived by her husband, Ralph Blackwell; 3 daughters, Jean Bogar, Ella Johnson and Dr. Linda Ford-Dennis; a son, Norman R. Blackwell, a brother, Wesley R. Millican; 9 grandchildren, Margaret and Rhonda Vick, Chery Michaud, Brian R. and Craig A. Johnson, Deidra R. Christensen, Wendolyn Watson, Timothy and Mark Blackwell, and 7 great-grandchldren…”
