Treescape
Introduction
Text-to-speech Audio
Matt and Tessie Wallace created Treescape in 2008. Chris Thomas commissioned the piece in memory of his wife, Teresa. The Wallaces used iron to construct a small landscape featuring trees, fish, birds, and natural phenomena like wind and water. The Wallace husband and wife duo are West Virginia natives. Their works frequently include naturalistic elements and smooth peaceful arabesques, like the ones found in Treescape.
