The building was built in 1922 and was originally the Windermere Woman Club but was transformed into a community center in 1938 and then formally used as a town hall in 1945 because the town council had no formal place to meet up until then. The building is a two stored wooden framed clubhouse.

Windermere was an early English settlement in the 1800's and for years the town council had nowhere to meet up and discuss local politics. The city officials frequently meet up at the Windermere Woman's Club which was built in 1922. The building was moved in 1938 to a different site and used for a community center for a while until this affair started and then it was officially made town hall in 1945. The building is two stored and is wood framed and can hold many guest so it was the perfect location for the elected officials to meet. To this day the building is still used for community gatherings and is showcased to promote involvement in the local activities near by.
