The Living History Park was made in 1991. The park was at first an abandoned waterworks but this changed by a small group of people who came together which formed the 501(c) non-profit organization called the Olde Towne Preservation Association (OTPA). The OPTA's main purpose was to preserve the history of North Augusta which led to the creation of the Living History Park to hold the history.
