Built in 1903 by Madigon Brothers, the building which
houses the Slinger Beauty Shop was the original home
of the State Bank of Schleisingerville. Here was housed at various
times Stappenback Drug Store and Mortuary, a drug
store operated by John Duehning and even earlier, a
stable for horses. After extensive remodeling Mrs. Richard
Rosche operated a beauty shop there during the past
three decades and it has continued as a beauty shop
under the managership of several others like
proprietor, Mrs. Joan Giles and manager Mrs. Allen
Held. Sherry Schaefer took over the business from her mom Joan and ran Sherry's Cuts and Curls till--- Now it is a residential property.
