The Powell U.S. Courthouse and Annex is the historic home of the federal courts in Richmond and today is home of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit. It is the oldest federal courthouse owned by the federal government and one of only two structures, along with the state capitol, that survived the fire of April 1865.
