The museum includes exhibits that trace the history of Muslims in America. Highlights of the collection include a section on the Nation of Islam and items related to the immigration of Muslims to the U.S The organization maintains a small but growing collection of documents and photographs and also works to collect oral histories. The museum also offers public programs with talks by scholars and events designed to foster understanding of the experiences of people of different races, cultures, and religions.
