Trice Bros Inc. Furniture was originally established in 1910 and continued after Trice's death in 1930, eventually setting up a store in 1956 at the 314 S. Main Street location. From 1970 to 1977, The Tot-to-Teen Shop for children's and teen's clothing and apparel operated at the location. Carpet Discount was a retail store at the site in 1977, and later Bratten's Upholstery in 1982. From 1986 to 1993, it was the site of the popular restaurant, Sue's Kitchen. The building remained vacant off and on during the 1990s and 2000s before it was renovated into residential lofts, for rent and later for sale. The building remains mixed-use with an office/retail area on the ground floor and residential lofts on the second floor.
The most recent sale of the property, Prospect Lofts, took place on April 1, 2021, for a purchase price of $245,000.
