Former location of the Sunset Mine Superintendents Cabin. J. H Macfarlane and his family lived here from - 1908

John Howard was the Superintendent of the Sunset mine which is just up the road off of Washington street about 5 miles. He and his wife Lena and their 2 sons Thomas and Charles lived here until 1908 when they move to Vancouver. The original home burnt to the ground a few weeks before they left. The property was later rebuilt by Ole Olfstad who owned the local Saloon. (Old house photo)
