This is a thrift store run by an organization that claims to be charitable but is for-profit. It occasionally has 50% off sales. You can almost always find a copy of The DaVinci Code in the books section, and you can almost always find Corning Ware cooking pots and Corelle dishes in the kitchen section.

This store is one of the bigger locations, and is located in a low-income but (very) quickly gentrifying area.

The 139 and 125 buses stop on the corner, and the Promenade Ontario shopping district (such as it is) begins on that corner as well.

Things your instructor has found at this store in the past include sweaters, blankets, Corning ware, a Corelle pattern a friend was missing from their collection, and fancy mismatched china teacups from which to serve gin. She has also found knitting needles, small yarn stashes, better books than The DaVinci Code (although that bar is pretty low), and some cute accessories.

It's more eco-friendly than buying new, but for actual social good, also check out the Renaissance across the street on Pie IX and the Renaissance book outlet one block west on Ontario.

There are no sources for this other than the instructor telling you about a thrift store she has been to in the past. No part of this entry is an example of what will get you an A on this project, it's just so the instructor can walk through the entire process from a logistics perspective.
