The Reily Center, formally known as the University Center, is a muti-use facility located on St. Bonaventure's campus. Its main highlight is Bob Lanier Court, a 5,480-seat arena that houses the St. Bonaventure men's and women's basketball teams, the athletic offices as well as the campus bookstore, the campus radio station and the campus post office and RC Cafe as well as residence life offices and Brother Angel's barbershop. However, the use of the Reilly Center shifted when the COVID-19 Pandemic hit.

Reilly Center to feature dozens of cardboard "fans" this season
Backstory and Context
Text-to-speech Audio
The Reilly Center is home to the St. Bonaventure men's and women's basketball teams and normally holds a capacity crowd of 5,480. However, during the COVID-19 Pandemic that all changed. During the 2020-21 men's and women's basketball seasons, fans were not allowed into the RC for games due to policies on campus. In response, fans were allowed to purchase cardboard cutouts that would be placed in the end zone bleachers during the season and were also encouraged to purchase the red seats to virtually "sell out" the RC. One of the rooms in the Reilly Center in particular, RC 219, located on the second floor, was used for pool testing during the early days of the Pandemic and the second floor of the RC was also used for flu vaccine clinics. During the pandemic, there was a vast difference in the atmosphere during basketball games compared to pre pandemic.
