One day, Edith Fischer is walking home from the library when she bumps into a woman on the street. She had a short bob, a finely arched nose, emerald green finger nails, and a Black silk plumage with a white collar and cuffs. Her name was Sally Bowles, and little did Edith know that this would be the moment everything would change in her life. Edith apologizes for bumping into her, and eventually they start talking. Sally is not too much older than Edith but seems to have a rather fun and rebellious lifestyle. Edith is intrigued by this as Sally tells her more. She talks about how much she loves performing at the cabaret in the bar night after night. At one point, she even insists that Edith comes to her show that evening.

Later that night, Edith arrives at the bar. She notices the building has an interesting dull greenish coloring. Edith's nostrils are soon filled with the burning smell of whiskey and cheap cologne. She goes to sit in a dark booth just as Sally takes the stage. The band begins to play the song "Life is a Cabaret", and Sally sings her heart out to the audience. Within minutes, the song is over, and several people whistle and cheer for an encore. Sally walks off stage without a sweat and meets a man at the bar. She notices Edith and waves her over. Edith makes her way to the bar just in time to hear Sally talking about all the men she's been with recently including a dirty old Jewish producer. Eventually, Sally introduces her friend Isherwood to Edith. He was a slim man with glasses who resembled a small boy. As the night progressed and several drinks ran through each of their palms, Sally began to give Edith some advice. She taught her about living a life that was wild and free. She even mentioned how she would not be where she is today without going through with her abortion. Sally was an independent girl with a free spirit, and Edith saw her as a role model and someone she wanted to be like one day. At the end of the night, Edith, Sally, and Isherwood exchanged numbers.

Primitiv Bar is located in the neighborhood of Friedrichshain. It cuts a glamorous speak easy style figure while emitting vintage sounds and a Gatsby-esque ambiance on weekends. The Sunday Soiree events feature burlesque performances by celebrated performers. There is a high level or quality and service due to the operator Oliver Schupp. The decor is cozy with armchairs, but it can change into a wicked 1920's nightclub at the drop of a hat. There is also a bouncer there to make sure the bar houses many locals and not just drunk tourists. In addition, the bar is well known for its exquisite mixed drinks and fine wines.
