The Pioneer Homestead is an interesting piece of history located in southern West Virginia. This small homestead in Chief Logan State Park near Logan, WV is open for visitors to admire and understand the way of life in this area during the 18th century.

This historic cabin dates between 1770-1863, and was moved from its original location to be placed in the park for visitors to be able to see how the people of this area lived in the frontier time period. The rustic cabin is furnished to represent how it would have been during the 18th century to give visitors a personal idea of early life in WV. It is surrounded by a beautiful split rail fence.
