Cleo Redd Fisher Museum

The Cleo Redd Fisher Museum is a subsidiary of the Mohican Historical Society. The CRF Museum welcomes visitors of all walks of life to discover the surprising history of the Mohican area. Visitors may choose self-guided tours, or request a guide for their visit. Unless otherwise noticed, the museum is open year round. Walk-ins are welcome, however due to limited staff availability we encourage you to call ahead to ensure that we can accommodate your visit.The Workman Cabin was built in 1838 by Morgan Workman, doubling as a home and Dunkard church. It was inhabited by his family for nearly 100 years. In 1963 it was donated to the Mohican Historical Society, and moved to its current location in Central Park where it has been restored and remains today. The cabin is open select weekends and during community.events, or by scheduling an appointment in advance.

From folk heroes to famous inventors, the Mohican area’s past is full of colorful characters and amazing stories. Inventors that revolutionized the way we live, entertainers that wowed royalty, explorers who braved the frontier, and industries that became icons of their time. The CRF Museum tells these stories and more; from period displays to interactive exhibits, there is something for everyone! The CRF Museum also operates the historic Workman Cabin in Central Park. The cabin, built in 1838, was home to Morgan and Jerutia Workman and their twelve children, serving not only as their residence but also a wayward inn and a Dunkard church.
