Introduction

The COVID-19 pandemic changed how the St. Bonaventure campus operated, as many activity centers and dining areas were either adapted or shut down. Something that was constructed during the COVID-19 pandemic was a restaurant at St. Bonaventure's golf course. Opening on April 19, 2021, the Fairway View Pavilion provides golfers a great place to dine overlooking the 2nd hole fairway. This restaurant is open to both St. Bonaventure students and the public.

During the pandemic at St. Bonaventure University's campus, many areas of interest around campus were either adapted for socially distanced use, or closed. One of the bright spots on campus during this transition was the St. Bonaventure golf course. Continuing to stay open with social distance rules applying to players, students could relax and play a round of golf without many restrictions. With the Richter Center requiring masks for visitors, the golf course is large enough to allow unmasked, socially distance play on the course.
At the end of the Spring semester of 2021, the university announced the opening of a new restaurant on the golf course. Both students and the public were open to dine in, allowing students to eat in a modern, spacious area. The view of the golf course from the restaurant is also very enticing. A perk for St. Bonaventure students is the restaurant allows the on campus currency students know as "Bona Bucks". Students can just swipe their ID card and will receive great food to enjoy while watching others shank golf balls.
