Cabot West side Health Center in Kansas City was one that made many firsts for the city, such as in 1918 they "it issued the first birth certificates to babies born in the city. It initiated the first health exams for school-children on the West Side." [1] The health center was a section from Saint Luke's Hospital.

The Cabot Clinic was founded in 1906, its prior name was "The St. Luke's Hospital Club" which was a furnished, four-bed children's ward at the Saint Luke's Hospital.

"Cabot Westside Health Center provides quality, culturally sensitive, bilingual, primary health and educational services to Hispanics, residents of the Westside and the greater Kansas City area, regardless of their ability to pay. Cabot Clinic offers services in adult medicine, chronic disease, dentistry, mental health, pediatrics, pregnancy, and WIC." [2]
