This apartment house was designed for James Ward Packard by a New Castle architect, it was home to many prominent people, including Mary Doud Packard and daughters Carlotta and Olive; Will Packard, his son Warren II and their housekeeper, Kathryn Bruder; Benjamin Franklin "Uncle Frank" Packard and wife Mary Hutchings Packard; William "Bert" Hatcher and others.
