Originally built in 1855 for the overseer of a local sawmill, this Greek Revival home is more connected with the Monroe family, who ran a local abstract company. At the turn of the century, it was home to "Pink" Monroe, who served as Postmaster in Washington.
This building is currently closed to tours.
