The Valene L. Smith Museum of Anthropology

Established in 1970, the Dr. Valene L. Smith Museum of Anthropology is located on the University of California-Chico campus in the Meriam Library building. The museum trains anthropology students in becoming museum professionals and presents temporary exhibits throughout the year. The museum's name was changed to the current one in 2009 in honor Dr. Smith.

The museum is housed in the Meriam Library, along with the Janet Turner Print Museum.
