Dedicated in 2007, this veterans memorial includes the names of the 461 Arkansas soldiers killed in battle engraved on black granite panels. These panels surround three statues that honor combat soldiers, medical personnel, and the people of Korea. The panels also provide information about the war and explain the symbolism behind the statues. What perhaps makes this one of the most unique war memorials in the United States is that the Republic of Korea provided the money for the memorial.
