Founded in 1968, the Museum of Natural History is housed in the James H. Albertson Center for Learning on the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point campus.The museum focuses on the Great Lakes and Great Plains region but covers the rest of the world as well. It contains 400,000 specimens and artifacts related to natural history, biology, geology, paleontology, anthropology, and other disciplines. Its exhibits and dioramas include African and North American natural environments, dinosaur specimens, and plant and animal fossils.
