Located in the Farmers State Bank Building in Georgetown's courthouse square, the Williamson Museum preserves and shares the heritage and culture of central Texas with exhibits and special programs. Collection highlights include historic murals, exhibits related to frontier Texas, the Chisholm Trail, and the Civil War in central Texas. The museum offers special programs for children, such as Chisholm Trail Days and Pioneer Day. The museum also offers a small research collection with documents and photographs.

Museum docents offer free tours of the Williamson County Courthouse each Friday and Saturday afternoon. Call ahead to schedule your tour. The mseum offers a special program called the Salon on the second Wednesday of every month--each session features a lecture or presentation by a professional historian.
