Opened in 1989, the Texas Prison Museum is a non-profit charitable corporation. The museum houses many exhibits focusing on the state's prison system. The exhibits tell stories from both the points of view of the inmates as well as the individuals that have worked within the system. Features include an electric chair from the early 1900s and a collection of artifacts that relate to the famous criminal duo Bonnie and Clyde.
