Historic Collinsville is an outdoor museum featuring several reconstructed and restored log homes from the 1800s. Each building contains authentic furniture. The museum teaches visitors how 19th century settlers lived and worked in Tennessee. The museum also features a wildlife and Native American center, which houses artifacts and examples of the animals that have lived in the area.

The idea for the museum came from JoAnn Weakley and her husband Glenn who began planning for the museum in the mid 1970s. Their dream came true in 1997.
