Text-to-speech Audio
The Parkway Craft Center is one of five shops operated by the Southern Highland Guild, an organization dedicated to preserving and fostering the growth of handcrafts made in the Appalachian Mountains. It is located in the former Moses Cone Mansion, also known as the Flat Top Estate, along the Blue Ridge Parkway in Blowing Rock, North Carolina. The center contains 300 pieces of handmade pieces of art created from glass, leather, fiber, wood, and other materials. The mansion was placed on the National Register of Historic Places, as Flat Top Estate, in 2013. The property is now Moses H. Cone Memorial Park.
