The Oneida County Historical Society is dedicated to preserving and educating the public about the county's history. Founded in 1876, the society features a research library, a 15,000 square foot space for two exhibits, and educational programs such as lectures by artists and historians. The society holds 25,000 documents and books, tens of thousands of photographs, and thousands of artifacts. Notable items include documents signed by several U.S. Presidents, including George Washington.
