Located in Horseheads, New York, the Wings of Eagles Discovery Center is a joint museum and education organization focused on military and aerospace aircraft. The 25,000 square foot facility contains numerous aircraft dating from the World War II to the present, including a few replica planes. Exhibits include informative displays, flight simulators, missiles and engines. The center also has exhibits on the Tuskegee Airmen and Bessie Coleman, the first Black female pilot in the world. The center offers formal and informal education programs geared toward the STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) subjects, using the aircraft and other items as a platform on which to learn these subjects.
