Fowler Hall was purchased by Eastern in September 1992. It was originally named Heritage House to honor the rich heritage of the school. Later dedicated for EU trustee Conrad J. Fowler, the building changed roles frequently, going from the home for the registrar to administration offices. Currently, Fowler is undergoing renovation and in the 2024-2025 school year will house the entirety of the Music Department.

Formerly the Harrison mansion at 1384 Eagle Road, it was purchased by Eastern in September of 1992. It was planned to be open for the fall of 1994. There was a fire during the evening of 10/12/1993 causing $200-300,000 of damage. Full occupancy was pushed back. On March 8, 1994 the property was named Heritage House to honor the rich heritage of the school. It was to house classrooms offices, 2 apartments, meeting and performance space, and the home for the Degree completion program.

Dedicated 5/18/07 in honor of Conrad J Fowler EU trustee. Fowler was a benefactor to the college and served as a board member for many years and as the Chair of the Board. It was dedicated to him in honor of his generosity to EU. His wife, Julia Fowler has the planetarium named for her. In 2008 Plans were announced to extend Fowler to include a recital hall, dance hall and recital and practice rooms.

In December of 2010 it was announced that Palmer Seminary was moving to Fowler and music and Dance was moving to Walton. In 2012 Fowler was the home of the registrar. In January 2017 Fowler housed the Templeton honors college. In April of 2107 Fowler was housing almost all of Eastern’s administration offices. In 2018 the registrar moved out of Fowler and into the Mall cottage.

Currently Fowler is undergoing renovation and in the 2024-2025 school year will house the entirety of the music department.
