Established in 1996, the Sanborn Area Historical Society features two museums, the Schoolhouse Museum and the Farm Museum. The former explores the history of Sanborn and offers tours to school groups and other visitors. The Farm Museum is a 120-year-old vintage barn that contains numerous artifacts and memorabilia dating from the early 1800s, including a horse-drawn carriage and various farm tools. It is located at 2660 Saunders Settlement Road, not far from the schoolhouse.
