Text-to-speech Audio
Founded in 1967 by the Junior Women’s Club and the Women's Club of Panama City, the Science and Discovery Center of Northwest Florida teaches visitors about science, technology and history through hands-on and interactive exhibits. The first exhibit was displayed in a farmer's market in 1969. The museum leased the property on which it sits in 1972 but the building itself was not constructed until 1981. In 2010, the museum built a new visitor center and classroom building.
