The Doric House is historic home in Flemington that is now the Hunterdon County Historical Society. It was built in 1845 by Mahlon Fisher in the Greek Revival style. Its interior is designed in the Empire style, which was developed in France, and features many interesting elements such as an elliptical staircase. Antique furnishings and other period items are displayed throughout the house. The society, which was established in 1885, bought the house in 1970 and moved in two years later.
