Introduction
Text-to-speech Audio
Beginning in the late 17th century, Franklin County was a hub of industrial activity until the first half of the 20th century. The Museum of Our Industrial Heritage in Greenfield, which was founded in 1998 by Leon Weeks, preserves this history; it is located in the former Newell Snow factory. The museum features tools, machines, photographs, archival materials, and other artifacts that belonged to the companies that were located along the Green River. The museum also has posted on its website online histories and exhibits.
