Northwood Gratitude and Honor Memorial

This is the first memorial in the United States that is exclusively dedicated to the listing of names of all the fallen American service members in Afghanistan and Iraq. Community members set this up in Irvine in 2003 temporarily. Now, the names of each service member who has died in Afghanistan and Iraq have their names carved into granite that is permanently displayed year round. The names of those who died include service members from Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn.
