Laurel Gorge Cultural Heritage Center

The Laurel Gorge Cultural Heritage Center is dedicated to the ongoing education of the heritage and natural environment of Elliott County, Kentucky. Located near Sandy Hook, Kentucky, the Center has exhibits that feature local history, folklore, art, and music. A visitor can learn about anything from the Paleoindians to the late country music star Keith Whitley. There are classes taught by local artisans, as well. The area around the center has more than six miles of hiking trails with kiosks throughout to highlight the local flora and fauna.
