The Janesville World War I Veteran’s War Memorial is located on the corner of W. Milwaukee Street and S. Franklin Street, right next to the Janesville Bataan War Memorial. This memorial was dedicated in 1926 to the men and women who served during The Great War. The memorial has a large statue of a Janesville soldier dressed in uniform and walking over barbed wire in a victorious fashion. Under the soldier are the names of the men and women who fought in the Great War. Thirty-nine names are listed as casualties on the monument.
