This 52-room mansion was designed by architect Jarvis Hunt for J. Sterling Morton, a business leader and the leading politician in early Nebraska who was also the originator of Arbor Day. The mansion currently functions as a museum and contains many items related to the early history of Nebraska, Otoe County, and Nebraska City.
