Daniel Wood: Log Homestead Cabin
Introduction
Text-to-speech Audio
Daniel Wood, one of the first pioneers to settle what would later become West Bountiful, Utah, built this log cabin to house one of his ten wives. After Daniel passed away, one of his sons converted this cabin into a Blacksmith shop, where he conducted all of his business. The first wheelhoe ever used in Utah was forged here. In 1997, the cabin was moved 3 miles north to what is now the West Bountiful Park, in Davis County, Utah.
